Carri brings more than 25 years of experience in public accounting to The ALG Group; of which 16 of those years were specifically focused on helping not-for-profit clients in the Greater Lansing area. Her valuable experience includes having been the manager on multiple not-for-profit audits each year, as well as managing audits of small businesses, low-income housing projects, governments, and schools.
Clients of The ALG Group benefit from Carri’s in-depth knowledge of not-for-profit accounting and auditing, as well as her analytical skills that help organizations achieve their operational goals. Further, with her extensive experience with computer accounting software, including Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, and QuickBooks, she can provide our clients with technical assistance for most software.
As a member of the AICPA and the MICPA, Carri keeps her skills sharp by completing more than 40 hours per year of continuing professional education in the governmental, single-audit, and not-for-profit auditing and assurance area. She’s also a member of the Non-Profit Task Force of the MICPA and the subcommittee of that task force, while holding the following certificates from the AICPA:
Coupling her passion for accounting and for helping those in our community, Carri has also served as the board treasurer of NAMI – Michigan (National Alliance on Mental Illness) for the past six years.
Carri holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University, and a Master of Accountancy from the Seidman Graduate School of Business of Grand Valley State University.
